How to Re-enable Browser-Based Push Notifications

On this page you will learn how to re-enable your browser push notifications for a specific site if it has previously been blocked.

Note

The browser push notification functionality is currently only available in Chrome and Firefox browsers on desktop devices, and Chrome and Firefox on Android mobile devices.

Desktop users

Chrome Browser

  1. View site information: select the ā€˜i’ or lock icon to the left of browser address bar.
  2. Under ā€œNotificationsā€, select the ā€œAlways allow on this siteā€ option.
  3. Reload the page by selecting the ā€œreloadā€ button (or pressing F5)

Firefox Browser

  1. Click the notification Icon to the left of browser address bar
  2. Select the ā€œXā€ button to clear the blocked website permission.
  3. Reload the page to apply the changed settings
  4. Navigate to the settings in the notification tray and select ā€œEnable nowā€
  5. When prompted, select the ā€œAllow Notificationsā€ option

Mobile users

Chrome:

  1. Tap on the ā€œiā€ or lock icon to the left of the browser address bar
  2. Tap Site Settings
  3. Tap on ā€œNotificationsā€ and allow

Firefox:

  1. Tap on the lock or ā€œiā€ icon to the left of the address bar
  2. Tap on the ā€œEdit site settingsā€
  3. Select the ā€œNotificationsā€ option and clear
  4. Navigate to the settings section of notification tray and select ā€œEnable nowā€
  5. Once prompted, tap on ā€œAlwaysā€ to allow notifications
