Reporting Reasons

To better prioritize your moderation queue and your valuable time, we have provided the ability to include Reporting Reasons for your users to give your moderators a better idea of why they reported/flagged that content.

This is currently supported with Conversations, Reviews, and our SDK.

Adding Custom Reasons

We recognize that not all reasons that may be important to your community will be reflected in our default list, so we have also added the ability to customize two additional fields.

Setting up in the Viafoura Admin

As an Admin User, find your site settings, then go to Moderation on your left side menu. Here you will see a section called "Reporting Reasons".

You have the option of enabling Custom field 1 and/or Custom field 2.

Each setting has a field for your title and a field for the description. This text will be what shows to your users.

When your users attempt to report content, they will see exactly what your new text says.

Below in the highlighted area, you can see the new Misinformation description is now usable.

When you want to search for your custom reporting reasons in the Moderation Console, they will display as Custom 1 and Custom 2.

The reasons in the Console filters remain generic so you can change or update your text at will.
